What type of files can I store in my Profyle?
Our mission is to slay personal administration to help reduce stress. To that end, we’re aiming to build out our platform to accommodate file types that help you do that. For now, you can upload common image types including JPEG, PNG and PDF files of documents. Potentially more file types to come in the future (based on user interest), but you should be able to store most of your documents from your phone or computer in these formats.

We use an encrypted database—think of it like turning your files into secret code—and role-based access control, so only the right people (and no one else) can see what they’re supposed to.
Profyle’s backend database platform uses encryption, role-based access control, and other security features to protect your data. It is secure enough to comply with industry security standards such as HIPAA (used by healthcare apps like MyChart) and SOC 2 Type 2 (used by big companies to protect sensitive data) to ensure your information remains private and safe. All customer data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 (used by the US Government to secure classified data) and in transit via TLS (used for data in transit, for example, by HTTPS).

What’s the ROI (return on investment) from Profyle?

What kinds of documents can I store?
If it's important enough to keep, it belongs in Profyle! Store passports, driver's licenses, insurance cards, birth certificates, vaccination records, contracts, warranties, professional credentials – anything you can photograph (as long as it’s legal) or already have as a PDF or image file.
Can I access my documents on the go?
Yes! Access them from any browser or our iOS/Android apps.
How do those handy renewal reminders work?
Either when uploading a document or any time after, you set an expiration date and choose how far in advance you want to be notified. Profyle handles the rest, sending timely notifications before deadlines approach. No more surprise expirations or rush renewal fees!

What if I change my mind after subscribing?
No problem! At Profyle, we believe in doing the right thing. Our current policy is to keep the data in your Profyle account viewable and downloadable for a quarter. Cancel anytime and keep full access until your billing cycle ends, and view/download access for 3 months after that to give you plenty of time to download anything you uploaded into Profyle (subject to our Terms and Conditions)

Why do you only store documents for unpaid subscriptions for 3-months?
Cloud storage costs money, even unused. We offer 3 months for free post-cancellation (on our dime) to give you time to retrieve your data.
Do you store my documents on a server somewhere even after I cancel my account?
Yes, for 3 months. After that, your data is deleted. You can also request immediate deletion at support@profyle.pro.
What if I reactivate later?
If you reactivate within a short time, your documents will still be there. Reactivating after that window will require re-uploading.
